My dad brought me to Klang. For what? Buy Punjabi Suits!! Hurray..!! Tm said that is actually a waste of petrol. Anyhow, we went. There are plenty of shops that sell Indian traditional costum, for example, Lehngas, Sarees, Dupattas and all sorts of jewelleries.. Honestly, i was totally amazed!!
It’s a shop named Gurdip Store which is located at the roadside. The moment i saw the shop owner, my first impression on them was, she is somehow considered as a high-class Indian. And then i took a glance on her husband who was sitting beside her. I gasped through every single corner of their shop.. beautiful Punjabi Suits were nicely hanged and displayed on the wall.. And there my mum started the conversation. My goodness.. guess what just came out from her mouth.. She asked the lady to show the cheapest Punjabi Suits.. I was kinda shocked with her sentence. The person pointed at the rack.. I quickly walked towards the direction.. Erm.. as for my opinion, although those Punjabi Suits are CHEAP, but somehow i think they’re quite old fashion, by looking at their colours and pattern.
The colours were really dark – bloody red, black, brown, purple.. and so on. Suddenly, one of them had caught my attention! The WHITE one, which was hanging between the rest. The pattern is much more simpler, unlike the rest which are pretty complicated. So i picked it and show it to my mum and grandma. They both like it too.. My mum asked the price of it, guess how much.. it’s 100++ over!! Erm.. That’s... really... EXPENSIVE!! For instance, if i buy the material (mostly it’ll only costs RM40 to RM60), i mean, the cloth, then i bring it to the tailor to sew a Punjabi Suit for me (usually RM30), TOTAL would only be RM90.. But how come they sell RM100++??
My mum tried to bargain with the lady. I chose another Punjabi Suit, which is quite similar with the previous one. Finally we decided to buy both, hoping that the lady would give us discount, hey, please be more considerate, we are coming from Puchong, the distance is quite FAR. At last, we paid RM245 for ONLY TWO Punjabi Suits.
